Digital driving licence: France Identité import made easier

Since 30 April, it has been easier to import your driving licence into the France Identité app, using your current driving licence

This procedure only takes your driving licence application number (NEPH - standardized prefecture registration number) into account. You no longer need to download your ADCS (Secure Driving Rights Certificate) and to scan the QR Code.

You will also now be able to update the information on your digital licence using this same application number.

How do you import your licence?

  1. Go to the app and click "Import your licence"
  2. Choose the "Enter the application number displayed on your licence", then click "Continue"
  3. Choose the format of your driving licence, then the layout of your application number (with or without a space)
  4. Enter your application number and consent to the processing of your data
  5. Enter your personal code
  6. Launch NFC reading of your ID card
  7. Check the data imported, then click "Add"

Your driving licence is now imported into your France Identité app.

Please note: you need France Identité digital identity to import your driving licence into the app.

Furthermore, if your driving licence has been suspended or revoked, you cannot import it into the app.
