ANTS (French authority for secure documents) becomes France Titres

The Decree paving the way for the French authority for secure documents (ANTS) to become France Titres and specifying its new strategic ambitions was published in the French Journal Officiel on 28 February 2024.

Since it was created in 2007, the Authority's actions have focused on helping users complete administrative procedures to obtain secured documents. Its missions have constantly changed as administrative procedures and documents have gradually become paperless.

By adding the France Identité programme to its remit, the Authority ensures strengthened digital sovereignty. As such, it paves the way for the development of new trust services that radically make using identification documents easier. This approach is already illustrated through the digital driving licence and EU Digital Identity Wallet uses, promoted by EU Member States.

The name France Titres is expressed through a new visual identity that reflects the sovereign character of the Authority's missions, the modernization of identification documents and the digital services accessible via mobile phones.

The Authority, which places its focus on tomorrow and innovation dedicated to professionals and private individuals alike, retains the use of its original name, visible on the ants.gouv.fr portal.
