The signature brick

The “signature brick” solution is based on the development of an existing ANTS service set up in close collaboration with ANSSI.

 

This service includes the Agency's IAS-ECC middleware, which is made available free of charge to all government agencies.

The Agency also worked on two signature creation tools:

• The WLSigner tool provided by ANTAI
• The European Commission's opensource tool

Signature verification

For signature verification, the tool is made available by the Agency for use by various ministries, including the Ministry of Justice.

This tool now complies with ETSI standards. Within this framework, the agency has established close permanent contacts with manufacturers in the sector, in particular within GIXEL/Acsiel.

 

What is the role of the ANTS?

The Agency's aim is to continue developing its electronic signature solutions in these areas in order to make the necessary financial savings and ensure that the tools used by French authorities are consistent with European standards.
